Alaska Christian College is making a lasting impact by empowering Alaska Natives through biblically based higher education and Christian formation. Located in Soldotna, Alaska, the college provides a supportive environment where students can grow spiritually, academically, and personally. With four areas of study—professional education, behavioral health, Christian ministry, and general education- students are equipped to pursue excellence in character, learning, and service. Many students come from rural communities throughout Alaska, and the college provides opportunities for them to pursue higher education while building a strong foundation for their futures.
At Alaska Christian College, education is about more than earning a degree; it’s about seeing lives transformed. Students receive counseling services as part of their tuition, along with individual mentoring and support to help them navigate life’s challenges. Spiritual growth is also a central part of campus life, with Bible studies, worship, chapel services, and visits from pastoral speakers. Students can build friendships and community through activities like hiking trips, beach outings, basketball, and time in the student lounge and fitness center.
The college’s growth is a testament to its ongoing mission. What began as a single building on ten acres has grown into a 30-acre campus with 27 building projects celebrated along the way. Each summer, approximately 300 volunteers from Alaska and across the lower 48 states come together to help expand the campus and support its students. New projects, including an athletic center, chapel, and counseling center, will provide even more opportunities for students to learn, connect, and thrive. Through Bayside’s NXT Initiative, contributions have helped support some of their ongoing needs and projects, allowing this important work to continue.
