For more than 30 years, Powerhouse Ministries has been bringing hope and transformation to the greater Sacramento area, helping individuals and families break free from addiction, abuse, and poverty through the love of Christ.
Based in Folsom, Powerhouse offers no-cost residential recovery programs for men, women, and children, along with counseling, crisis support, job readiness, life skills, family reunification, and resources for those facing homelessness, trafficking, mental health challenges, and incarceration. Through church services, Bible studies, youth programs, and leadership development, they keep Christ at the center of everything they do.
The need for these services continues to grow.
- More than 3,100 people sought crisis support last year.
- The 59 beds in their residential recovery programs face a growing waiting list.
- More than 1,400 counseling sessions were provided, with others turned away due to limited capacity.
